GCE's Aviation division is the newest GCE business unit created specifically to serve the Aviation market with innovative, lightweight, portable oxygen based safety and medical equipment.
The GCE Aviation products utilise lightweight composite cylinders and modern manufacturing techniques to provide a package that is easy to use in an emergency whilst bringing new benefits that are appreciated by the user as well as other stakeholders. The reduction in weight, which can be up to 50% less than steel cylinders, coupled with low maintenance requirements and commercially attractive acquisition cost result in a low through life cost of operating the product.

Created after GCE acquired the UK based ‘Sabre Aviation’ business in 2005, GCE continued manufacture of the original ‘Sabre AAV120’ portable oxygen cylinder assembly whilst drawing from years of gas equipment design and manufacturing experience and releasing a new range of portable oxygen equipment more recently which has immediately been accepted by the market.
The philosophy for the design of the Aviation products is based on GCE’s extensive knowledge and experience of flow and pressure control equipment. Specifically, the GCE Medical product range has a large influence on the Aviation products as many medical standards and specifications are used during the design and qualification of the products.

The ‘Integra’ Portable Oxygen Cylinder Assembly is a lightweight direct replacement for the existing steel portable cylinders that are fitted to the majority of aircraft today. The cylinders are designed to fit into the existing brackets and therefore Integra is a highly viable prospect for retro-fit.
The ‘Elite’ Oxygen Conserving Device is a pneumatic pulsed portable cylinder assembly which has been designed to provide oxygen to a passenger during flight for medical purposes. It is compact, lightweight and can be easily fitted to the seat during use.
